Published Books

One day, back in 2019, a little rhyme popped into my head out of nowhere! I just knew I had to turn it into a picture book...and by the autumn of 2020 Knobbly Nora became my first published book.
Nora is a young girl with a free spirit and a thirst for adventure — often spurred on by her desire to escape the teasing of her older brother, Eddie! But when Nora goes missing, it's Eddie who searches through the night to find her. Their touching reunion is a heartfelt reminder of the unbreakable bond between siblings.

There’s definitely a little bit of me in Nora! I was always climbing trees and catching frogs — never searching for a prince, I might add! Knobbly Nora holds a special place in my heart and will always be my favourite.
Knobbly Nora

Importance of family! Thoroughly enjoyable book!

A lovely story and quite unlike any others that I have read before. So many messages conveyed in the story. My son loved it as did I!

Lovely story

My daughter loves this book and frequently gets it off her bookshelf to read. The illustrations are wonderful to help tell the story. A firm favourite of hers and I enjoy it too!

Knobbly Nora was featured as 'Book of the week' on the My Baba website in June 2021.

The Warblers
My second book, The Warblers, was written within a fortnight of Knobbly Nora, and also just popped into my head! It tells the tale of the cutest little creatures who love to sing the day away — all except Reggie, who just can't sing! Feeling sad, Reggie stays home and plays with his toys. But one day, he has a revelation and discovers he does have a voice — one that the other Warblers admire. Suddenly, Reggie goes from zero to hero!

This book was published in the autumn of 2021 and is a wonderfully uplifting story and a big hit with very young children ... my son's favourite!
The Warblers Book Cover

'The Warblers love to warble, they sing and they dance. From the moment they wake, they croon and they prance.'

But what if a warbler just can't sing?

Reggie is one such Warbler, but he soon realises that he doesn't have to be the same as everyone else ... he can do his own thing!

The Forever Family
The Forever Family is my third book, published in 2022. Unlike my previous stories, this one didn’t just pop into my head — it took a lot of thought! I wanted to write a story that gently explains the adoption process in simple terms young children can understand. It works both as a great conversation starter and a heartfelt bedtime story.

Gorgeous book

Lovely book which is beautifully illustrated to explain the fostering and adoption process to your little ones and help them understand.

Wonderful book!

I love the theme of this book, I wish it had been written when I was a foster carer preparing children to move on to their forever families. It is sensitively written and beautifully illustrated in such a way as to engage and interest toddlers and young children. I have read this to my grandchildren to help them understand what we used to do and they loved it.

Lennie The Veggie
My latest book, Lennie The Veggie, was published in November 2024 — another story that just popped into my head. I remember having lentil soup for tea that night! It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek tale about a vegetarian lion, with an important message about standing up to peer pressure and staying true to your morals. There’s even a tiny bit of juvenile toilet humour… which is probably why it’s my husband’s favourite!
Lennie The Veggie Front Cover

Lennie The Veggie   Ages 3-7

'Lennie the veggie was a curious soul...who could often be seen eating food from a bowl!'

Lennie loved nothing more than a bowl of lentils and a Brussels sprout, but is alienated from his own kind who just don't understand him. The rest of the jungle think the effects of his plant based diet are hilarious... but this doesn't stop Lennie from making new friends!  A funny, heartwarming story which conveys a message about not giving in to peer pressure and staying true to oneself.

Fun, colourful, a great children's story book!

Gorgeous story book for young children. Lovely rhyming verse makes it a joy to read with beautiful soft illustrations helping to tell the story. This book has an important message about choices and the right to be able to make them - even if that means being different. A gentle way to introduce this to young children.

Beautiful book - sweet and funny story

Loved this story - it's very cute and also funny too. My little boy really liked it a lot. The illustrations are beautiful. We are vegetarian and so especially enjoyed this aspect of the book - but equally that it approaches diet choice in a humorous way.
