About me
I have always had a passion for art and poetry but didn't really put the two together until I wrote my first children's picture book, Knobbly Nora in 2020.
Nora is a bit of a tomboy - as was I! Growing up in the heart of Cumbria surrounded by fields and woods I would often be out playing for hours climbing trees, returning home with scuffed shoes and dirty knees.
My working life has included a multitude of jobs from packing pies to pulling pints, then in 2001 I gained a degree in Interior Architecture & Design and worked as a Designer ever since, squeezing in a bit of doodling and rhyming on the side.
I now live in the North East of England with my husband and family and am lucky enough to be able to devote more time to my passions. I have written, illustrated and published 3 children's picture books to date with hopefully more to follow!
When I am not writing or illustrating I still like to take walks in the woods and occasionally still climb the odd tree :-)
School Visits
Kids love being read to and I love reading to them!
Young children love all the characters and the rhyming in the books,
whereas the older ones love to hear all about the process of
writing, illustrating and publishing a book.
I can visit schools in the North East and surrounding
areas and will also provide signed copies of books that are pre-ordered.
